ANGELES CITY – A total of 1,260 city government employees in Angeles City were awarded their ₱10,000 Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) bonus on December 19, 2024. The recipients include 915 permanent, 329 casual, and 16 contractual employees. The bonus amount saw a significant increase this year, thanks to the city’s achievement of the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG).
Flordeliza Santos, the president of the Association of Government Employees for a New Dynamic Angeles City (AGENDA), expressed her gratitude to Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. for his continuous support of the city’s employees. She thanked the mayor for his commitment to improving the welfare of workers and providing a high level of public service.
Mayor Lazatin attributed the increase in the CNA bonus to the hard work and dedication of the employees in delivering quality services to the public. He emphasized that the bonus was a recognition of their efforts, which played a crucial role in the city’s consecutive SGLG awards.
“The increase in the CNA bonus is a direct result of their perseverance in delivering quality public services,” said Mayor Lazatin. He further noted that the city is simply giving the employees what they rightfully deserve for their outstanding work. He also expressed pride in the city’s back-to-back recognition for excellence in governance.
Santos highlighted that the bonus and other benefits are not only a reward but also a symbol of the employees’ success and contributions to the city’s achievements. She added that the incentives have a profound impact on the workers’ morale, motivating them to continue providing excellent service to the residents of Angeles City.
The city’s employees also expressed their appreciation for Mayor Lazatin’s leadership. Santos pointed out that the mayor’s actions inspire them to work even harder, noting that his example of dedication to public service encourages them to strive for excellence in their own roles.
In addition to the CNA bonus, another incentive, the Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) worth ₱6,000, is set to be distributed on December 23, 2024. Earlier this month, 3,484 Contract of Service employees also received a ₱3,000 year-end gratuity as part of the city’s ongoing commitment to supporting its workforce.
