Under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr., the Angeles City Government continues its distribution efforts by providing P1,000 cash assistance and a three-month supply of Vitamin C supplements to 1,251 senior citizens in Barangay Sta. Teresita on March 21, 2024.
A total of 47,670 registered senior citizens across the city’s 33 barangays are set to receive this aid package. The Office for the Senior Citizens Affairs, led by Eduardo Torres, oversees the distribution process. Mayor Lazatin’s primary goal is to ensure the well-being of senior citizens, marking the fifth consecutive year of providing this assistance.
Lazatin emphasized the continuity of programs dedicated to senior citizens, building upon previous years’ efforts where similar aid was distributed: 48,439 in 2023, 40,159 in 2022, 53,996 in 2021, and 55,815 in 2020.
