ANGELES CITY – Chief Adviser IC Calaguas was on hand to oversee the final preparations for the Zumbarangay event hosted by Senator Imee Marcos in Angeles City. The event, which took place in Barangay Cutud, aimed to promote health, wellness, and community engagement through group fitness activities. Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. expressed his gratitude for bringing such a meaningful initiative to the city, emphasizing the importance of fostering active lifestyles and community spirit.
The Zumbarangay program drew over 500 participants from 33 barangays, showcasing the city’s enthusiasm for fitness and collective well-being. Chief Adviser Calaguas played a crucial role in ensuring that all logistics were in place to facilitate a smooth and successful event. His attention to detail contributed to the seamless coordination that allowed the gathering to proceed without any issues.
Mayor Lazatin commended Senator Marcos for her dedication to promoting health and wellness among Filipinos and for choosing Angeles City as one of the locations for this nationwide program. “We are grateful for Senator Marcos’ efforts in encouraging our citizens to engage in activities that improve their overall health and strengthen community ties,” Mayor Lazatin said.
Barangay Cutud Captain Jesusito Masbang was also present, supporting the event’s execution and welcoming participants from various neighborhoods. Also in attendance were Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Officer Irish Bonus-Llego and Persons with Disability Affairs Officer Ryan David, reflecting the broad support for this initiative. Their presence underscored the inclusive nature of the event, which welcomed all members of the community, including those with disabilities.
