On January 20, 2025, Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. held a brief meeting with key department heads to review the progress of ongoing infrastructure development projects in the city. Accompanied by Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, the Mayor discussed upcoming initiatives and preparations for important city projects.
One of the key highlights of the meeting was the upcoming inauguration of four primary health care facilities in Barangays Pulungbulu, Malabanias, Tabun, and Pulung Maragul. These health centers are part of the city’s ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare accessibility for residents in various barangays, ensuring that essential medical services are available closer to home.
In addition to the health care facilities, Mayor Lazatin is set to inaugurate the newly-expanded Command Center and a fully-operational transfer station in Barangay Capaya. These infrastructure projects are expected to improve the city’s emergency response capabilities and waste management systems, respectively, providing greater convenience and efficiency to the community.
During the meeting, the Mayor was joined by City Engineer’s Officer-in-Charge Helen Ayro, Angelo Tayag of the City Engineer’s Office, General Services Officer Evangeline Malonzo, Gender and Development Officer Mina Cabiles, Information and Communication Technology Division Chief Michael Lising, and Environmental Management System Head Kiko Pangilinan. Each department head provided updates on their respective roles in ensuring the successful completion of these key projects.
Mayor Lazatin emphasized the importance of these infrastructure developments in supporting the city’s growth and improving the quality of life for its residents. He noted that these initiatives are aligned with the city’s broader goals of modernizing public services, enhancing healthcare, and improving environmental sustainability.
The Mayor also stressed the need for continued collaboration among the various departments to ensure that the infrastructure projects are implemented efficiently and in a timely manner. “We must work together to achieve these goals and create a better future for our residents,” Mayor Lazatin said during the meeting.
