The National Housing for Filipino (4PH) Project is a government initiative aimed at providing affordable and decent housing for Filipinos, particularly low-income families. Through this program, the government is focused on addressing the country’s housing backlog by creating accessible housing units that offer affordable prices and financing options for qualified beneficiaries.
Under the 4PH Project, housing units will be available at a cost of P1.23 million for a 27-square-meter unit. Additionally, a parking slot can be purchased for P400,000. The project is designed to make homeownership achievable for Filipinos who might otherwise struggle with the high costs of private housing developments. To ensure affordability, the national government is offering subsidies to reduce the financial burden on buyers.
One of the key features of the 4PH Program is the provision of low-interest housing loans through the Pag-IBIG Fund. Pag-IBIG is offering some of the lowest interest rates available in the market, making it easier for low-income families to secure funding for their homes. This is expected to help many families become homeowners who might not have been able to afford it otherwise.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the 4PH Project in Angeles City, held on February 27, 2025, marked a major milestone in the program. Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., together with local government officials and members of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), participated in the event. The project is set to significantly transform the city’s housing landscape, offering accessible homes for residents.
The 4PH Project in Angeles City will consist of 10 six-story buildings, each containing 245 residential units. This brings the total number of residential units to 2,450, providing ample housing for qualifying individuals and families. In addition to residential units, the project will also feature 200 car parking slots and 680 motorcycle parking spaces, ensuring convenience for future homeowners.
Beyond the homes themselves, the 4PH development will include a variety of amenities that contribute to improving residents’ quality of life. These amenities include a village clubhouse, a village market, and a transport terminal, all of which will help residents meet their daily needs and have easy access to transportation and essential services.
Overall, the 4PH Project represents a comprehensive effort by the government to provide Filipinos with affordable housing solutions. With the collaboration between local and national agencies, this initiative is expected to bring long-term benefits to communities across the country, improving the lives of those who need it most. The program serves as a significant step toward solving the country’s housing crisis while ensuring that future generations have access to safe, affordable homes.
