Philippine Airlines (PAL) continues to expand its commitment to regional connectivity and community partnership with a courtesy visit to Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. on March 18, 2025. The meeting, held at the Mayor’s Office, highlighted PAL’s latest domestic flight offerings through Clark International Airport, aimed at improving travel options for residents of Angeles City and surrounding areas.
Leading the PAL delegation were Clark Station Branch Manager Lalaine Angelie Medrano and Account Executive Keesha Angelica Del Rosario. They were warmly received by Mayor Lazatin, who was joined by Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel and City College of Angeles (CCA) President Dr. Frankie Villanueva.
During the discussion, PAL introduced its new flight routes via Clark, emphasizing the airline’s intention to provide greater travel ease and accessibility for Angeleños. These additional routes are seen as an essential step in strengthening regional tourism and supporting economic growth through increased mobility.
PAL also expressed strong support for the Angeles City Government’s ongoing projects and developmental programs. The airline reaffirmed its commitment to community engagement by aligning with local initiatives that aim to uplift the city and its people.
In a significant move for education and workforce development, CCA President Dr. Frankie Villanueva proposed a collaboration between PAL and the City College of Angeles. The proposed partnership seeks to create immersion and on-the-job training opportunities for CCA students enrolled in hospitality and management-related courses.
This collaboration is expected to provide students with real-world experience and enhance their readiness for future careers in the travel, tourism, and aviation industries. It also reflects PAL’s broader goal of supporting the next generation of professionals through corporate social responsibility.
The visit ended on a positive note, with all parties expressing optimism about future collaborations. With PAL’s expanding presence at Clark and its commitment to community development, Angeles City stands to benefit from improved connectivity and new opportunities for its youth.
