Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. welcomed members of the Barangay Cutcut Council to his office on March 19, 2025, for a brief but meaningful conversation regarding local concerns and community collaboration. The visit highlighted the ongoing coordination between the city government and barangay leaders in improving grassroots governance.
Leading the delegation from Barangay Cutcut was Punong Barangay Juanito Dayrit. Accompanying him were council members (Kagawads) Harry Vega, Marcelino Palo, Alexie Dallo, Joselito Caparas, and Cristina Cayanan. Their presence underscored the barangay’s active engagement in city-wide dialogues and initiatives.
Mayor Lazatin was joined by his Chief Adviser, IC Calaguas, who also serves as the Department of Transportation Assistant Secretary for Railways, as well as former Angeles City Public Cemetery Head Philip Samson. Their attendance showed the city administration’s unified approach to addressing local issues.
While the meeting was informal, it served as a valuable opportunity for barangay officials to raise concerns and share updates with the Mayor. The conversation centered on improving basic services and sustaining the development momentum in Barangay Cutcut.
Mayor Lazatin assured the barangay council of the city government’s support and encouraged them to continue working closely with city departments. He reiterated the importance of efficient service delivery and community engagement at the barangay level.
Punong Barangay Juanito Dayrit expressed gratitude for the Mayor’s time and continued openness to dialogue. He noted that such regular interactions help barangay leaders align with the city’s programs and contribute more effectively to their implementation.
The brief but productive visit highlighted the Lazatin administration’s dedication to maintaining strong ties with barangay leaders, reinforcing the city’s vision of inclusive, responsive, and people-centered governance.
