On March 24, 2025, Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. recognized 151 long-serving employees of the Angeles City Government during a ceremony at the Angeles City Library and Information Center Amphitheater. These dedicated employees were honored with certificates of loyalty, pins, and cash incentives in recognition of their decades of service to the people of Angeles City.
The loyalty awards were presented to employees who have dedicated 10 to 45 years of service. Mayor Lazatin, in his speech, commended their commitment and hard work, stating, “You are the reason for the smooth and honest delivery of services to our citizens, from the past to the present.” He also encouraged the awardees to continue inspiring their fellow employees to serve with dedication and excellence.
Employees who have served for 10 years received a cash incentive of ₱10,000, while those with every additional five years of service were granted ₱5,000 for each additional period of service. Notable awardees included Jaime Manlapaz and Raidis Rueda, who were recognized for their 45 years of service, and Moises De Luna, honored for his 40 years of service.
In addition, those with 35 years of service, including Gilbert Basilio, Nestor Dela Cruz, Angela Dizon, and Luis Gonzales, were also recognized for their unwavering dedication. A total of 37 employees who served for 30 years, 25 for 25 years, 20 for 20 years, and 15 for 15 years were presented with awards, further showcasing the remarkable dedication of Angeles City’s workforce.
For those with 10 years of service, a total of 56 employees received their loyalty awards, which included a mix of individuals from different city offices, all of whom contributed to the city’s progress through their consistent and reliable work over the years.
The awarding ceremony was attended by Vice Mayor Vicky Vega-Cabigting, members of the City Human Resource and Management Office (CHRMO) led by Rowena Yambao, and the president of the Association of Government Employees for a New Dynamic Angeles City (AGENDA), Flordeliza Santos. This recognition was part of the city’s Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence program, aimed at boosting employee morale and inspiring further dedication to public service.
The loyalty awards program was established as part of the Civil Service Commission’s policies to honor employees for their long-term contributions. This initiative not only celebrates employees’ achievements but also promotes a culture of excellence in the public sector, encouraging others to follow their example of unwavering service to the Angeleños.
