On March 26, 2025, Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. extended recognition to Enrique Nidera, a member of the Salapungan Tricycle Drivers Association (SATDA), for his exemplary act of honesty. Nidera was celebrated for returning a mobile phone he found to its rightful owner, an act that showcases integrity and honesty in the community.
During a special ceremony at the Mayor’s Office, Mayor Lazatin personally presented Nidera with a Certificate of Commendation to honor his admirable deed. In addition to the certificate, Nidera was awarded a cash incentive of ₱5,000 as a token of the city’s appreciation for his honesty.
Mayor Lazatin praised Nidera for his ethical behavior and set an example for others to follow. “Your actions reflect the values we hold dear in this city – honesty, integrity, and a sense of community. We are proud to have individuals like you in Angeles City,” the mayor stated during the presentation.
