On March 26, 2025, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel welcomed Barangay Sta. Trinidad Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Chairperson Henry Carbungo and several SK Kagawads at the Angeles City Mayor’s Office Conference Room, on behalf of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. The visit was part of the youth council’s initiative to strengthen collaboration with the city government and express support for local programs.
During the courtesy call, Chairperson Carbungo shared updates on Sta. Trinidad SK’s ongoing and planned projects aimed at empowering the youth in their barangay. The discussion included initiatives related to sports development, community engagement, and livelihood support for young residents.
As a gesture of appreciation and pride in local industry, Carbungo handed over samples of their barangay’s well-known tinapa products to Reina Manuel. The smoked fish products, locally produced in Sta. Trinidad, are among the barangay’s small-scale livelihood staples and serve as a source of income for many residents.
Reina Manuel expressed her gratitude on behalf of Mayor Lazatin, noting the importance of encouraging and promoting local products, especially those that provide livelihood opportunities to the community. She commended the SK’s initiative for not only fostering youth development but also uplifting local pride and entrepreneurship.
Manuel assured the visiting SK officials of the city government’s continued support for youth-led programs and community-based livelihood initiatives. She emphasized that Mayor Lazatin’s administration remains committed to empowering the youth sector and creating avenues for skills development and economic growth.
The visit also served as a venue for exchanging ideas and exploring potential partnerships between the city government and the SK Council of Barangay Sta. Trinidad. Both sides expressed enthusiasm in working together on future youth programs that align with the city’s development agenda.
With active participation from the youth sector and continuous backing from the city government, the visit symbolizes a shared commitment to progress, empowerment, and community development in Angeles City.
