On April 3, 2025, a productive meeting took place at the City Treasurer’s Office where Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr.’s Chief Adviser and Department of Transportation (DOTr) Assistant Secretary IC Calaguas met with Landbank Angeles City Branch Manager Noreen Polintan and City Treasurer Arneil Escolango. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the collaboration between the DOTr, the city government, and Landbank Angeles City Branch regarding the North-South Commuter Railway Project.
This collaboration is crucial for the successful implementation of the North-South Commuter Railway, a major infrastructure initiative aimed at improving public transportation across the region. The project is expected to significantly enhance the mobility of residents, reduce traffic congestion, and provide a faster and more efficient commuting option for the public.
During the meeting, the officials discussed the roles and responsibilities of each party involved in the project.
