ANGELES CITY — In line with the directive of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel on April 10, 2025 led the continuation inspection of the newly completed Lapid Arena located in Barangay Pampang. This follows the city government’s push to ensure all infrastructures meet top standards before they are formally opened to the public.
Joining Manuel during the site inspection were Angeles City Tourism Auxiliary and Barangay Outreach Head Mike Lising, and Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (ACEDIPO) Chief Irish Bonus-Llego. The team meticulously reviewed the arena’s amenities and infrastructure readiness.
The inspection focused on ensuring that all aspects of the arena, including seating arrangements, lighting systems, security protocols, and accessibility features, were properly installed and functioning. These are part of the city’s goal to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for both performers and spectators.
With a seating capacity of 5,000 and equipped with modern, world-class facilities, the Lapid Arena is now poised to become Angeles City’s premier venue for national and international concerts, sporting events, and large-scale gatherings. Its strategic location and state-of-the-art features aim to attract both local and foreign visitors.
Manuel highlighted the importance of delivering a venue that not only meets expectations but exceeds national standards for public venues, reaffirming the Lazatin administration’s commitment to infrastructure excellence. The inspection also ensured that the arena is inclusive and accessible for all.
The Lapid Arena is envisioned to boost the city’s tourism and economic development, creating opportunities for local businesses, job generation, and positioning Angeles City as a key player in the events and entertainment industry in Central Luzon.
With all preparations nearly complete, the city is now looking forward to the grand opening of the Lapid Arena, marking a new milestone in Angeles City’s continued progress under the leadership of Mayor Lazatin.
