The Association of Government Employees for a New Dynamic Angeles City (AGENDA) President, Flordeliza Santos, expressed her deep appreciation to Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. for providing free flu vaccines to 4,744 city hall employees. Santos highlighted the importance of this timely initiative, especially given the unpredictable weather and changing climate that often lead to an increase in illnesses.
“This is yet another testament to Mayor Lazatin’s unwavering commitment to our welfare,” Santos stated. “With the sudden shifts in weather, many employees often fall ill. The free flu vaccine ensures that we are protected and remain healthy, which in turn enables us to serve the people of Angeles City more effectively.”
Under the leadership of Mayor Lazatin, the city government provided the flu vaccines to 4,744 city hall staff members as part of a proactive health measure. Santos further expressed gratitude, emphasizing that the employees are ready to reciprocate the mayor’s care with continued dedication to their work.
“We are truly grateful, Mayor Lazatin, for always taking care of our health. In return, we will keep providing high-quality service to the Angeleños, just as you’ve always valued and supported us,” said Santos.
Mayor Lazatin explained that the initiative is part of the city’s ongoing effort to prioritize the health of government workers. By offering the flu vaccine, he aimed to safeguard the city hall staff against respiratory illnesses that could potentially disrupt their ability to serve the public.
“This is part of our promise to always prioritize the health of our employees because they are crucial in delivering the necessary services to our constituents,” Mayor Lazatin said. He further emphasized that maintaining the wellness of city workers is essential for effective governance.
In addition to the free flu vaccines, Mayor Lazatin also introduced the Ronda Bakuna Bus, operated by the Angeles City Health Office, to expedite the vaccination process. This initiative is just one part of the broader health-focused programs, which also included an annual physical examination for employees in 2022. The city’s proactive health measures reflect its commitment to the welfare of its dedicated workforce.
