The Angeles City Government, led by Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr., continues to offer free pap smear, breast examination, and HIV testing to 50 indigent Angeleñas in Barangay Salapungan on March 20, 2024.
This initiative is part of Mayor Lazatin’s Women’s Month celebration activities, reflecting his commitment to women’s health. Present during the event were members of the Gender and Development Office, the Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, and the City Health Office.
The city aims to provide these services to 1,650 women across all 33 barangays. Lazatin reiterated his promise to bring medical services directly to the community, emphasizing the importance of early detection of cervical cancer through pap smear tests. This effort builds upon previous initiatives by the Lazatin administration, demonstrating their ongoing dedication to women’s health since Lazatin took office.
