On February 11, 2025, City Treasurer Arneil Escolango, representing Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., received a cheque worth P5 million from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) – Angeles City Branch. This cheque represents the city’s share from PAGCOR for the month of December 2024, as part of the city’s external sources of income.
The turnover ceremony was attended by key representatives from PAGCOR, including Angeles City Administrator II Dylene Melo and Finance Officer I Marietta Clarita De Guzman. They were present to officially hand over the cheque, which will be utilized to fund various city programs and services.
Mayor Lazatin’s administration has consistently worked toward maximizing the city’s resources for the benefit of its residents. The financial support from PAGCOR plays a vital role in strengthening the local government’s ability to deliver essential public services and further enhance the quality of life for Angeleños.
PAGCOR’s contribution is part of its commitment to share a portion of its revenues with local government units, which helps fund various developmental projects.
