The city of Angeles is set to launch its groundbreaking Angeles City Rescue Mobile Application (AC Rescue) on January 29, 2025, at the Barangay Pandan Covered Court. The event marks a significant milestone, as the Angeleño Alerto Personal On-call Guard Interface (POGI) App becomes the first of its kind in both Pampanga and Central Luzon.
The AC Rescue app aims to provide fast, efficient, and accessible rescue services to the people of Angeles City. This innovative platform will allow residents to easily request emergency assistance and connect directly with local rescue teams. The app promises to enhance safety and security in the city, providing an essential tool for residents in times of need.
The POGI App can be downloaded from the Google Play Store by searching for “CBIS,” which stands for City-Based Integrated Services. This app is designed to be user-friendly and efficient, ensuring that Angeleños can quickly reach out for help in case of an emergency.
The grand launching event will take place at 10:00 AM, and the program will be broadcast live via the official Facebook page of the Angeles City Information Office (ACIO). Residents and stakeholders are invited to tune in and learn more about how the app works and how it can be used to ensure their safety.
This mobile app is part of the city government’s ongoing efforts to integrate technology into public services, making essential services more accessible to citizens. By using the app, Angeleños will be able to contact local rescue teams with just a few taps on their smartphones, streamlining emergency response efforts.
City officials are excited about the potential impact of the POGI App on public safety, especially in emergencies where every second counts. The launch event will showcase the app’s features, including real-time communication with emergency teams and an intuitive interface designed for ease of use.
Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. has expressed his support for the project, emphasizing that technology is a vital tool in providing better services to the community. “With the launch of this app, we are taking another step towards improving the safety and well-being of every Angeleño,” Mayor Lazatin said. The city government hopes that the app will serve as a model for other local government units in the region.
