On November 11, 2024, Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel conducted an on-site inspection of the Office of Civil Registry’s exterior, as the city government prepares to renovate its receiving area. The inspection was part of the city’s initiative to enhance the public experience in local government offices, particularly in spaces where residents frequently visit for essential services.
Joining the two city officials during the inspection were key members of the local government. City Engineer’s Officer-in-Charge Helen Ayro, General Services Officer Evangeline Malonzo, and Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Officer Irish Bonus-Llego accompanied Calaguas and Manuel to assess the area in need of improvement.
The proposed renovation aims to upgrade the Office of Civil Registry’s receiving area to provide a more welcoming and efficient environment for residents. Calaguas emphasized that the improvements align with Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr.’s directive to make public offices more comfortable for taxpayers. Mayor Lazatin has consistently advocated for enhancing the public sector’s facilities to promote ease of access and comfort for residents.
As part of the renovation, the city plans to install additional seating in the waiting area to accommodate more clients comfortably. The increase in seating capacity will ensure that visitors are not left standing while waiting for their turn, particularly in busy periods when the office handles a significant number of transactions.
Calaguas explained that the city government is committed to creating a better experience for residents, ensuring that every visit to a city office is convenient and stress-free. The renovation project is expected to not only improve the aesthetic appeal of the Office of Civil Registry but also contribute to better service delivery for the public.
The inspection and the renovation plans reflect the administration’s ongoing efforts to modernize and improve local government infrastructure. This initiative aligns with the city’s goal to enhance public spaces and create an environment conducive to quality service.
With this renovation in the pipeline, the city government is demonstrating its commitment to improving government service accessibility while prioritizing the welfare and satisfaction of its residents. Once completed, the renovation will further bolster the city’s reputation as a community that values its citizens’ needs.
