On February 25, 2025, Angeles City officials, led by Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, conducted an inspection of the site for the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program. The visit comes ahead of the groundbreaking ceremony scheduled for Thursday, marking the start of a transformative housing project in the city.
The inspection team was joined by several city officials, including Gender and Development Officer Mina Cabiles, Environmental Management System Head Kiko Pangilinan, General Services Officer Evangeline Malonzo, Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Officer Irish Bonus-Llego, Information and Communication Technology Division Chief Michael Lising, City Engineer’s Officer-in-Charge Helen Ayro, and Engr. Angelo Tayag of the City Engineer’s Office. Together, they assessed the site to ensure the smooth preparation for the upcoming groundbreaking.
The 4PH Program, spearheaded by the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), will see the construction of 10 six-story buildings in Angeles City, designed to accommodate qualified beneficiaries. Each of the 10 buildings will house 245 residential units, bringing the total number of units to 2,450. This project is a significant step towards providing decent and affordable housing for the city’s residents.
In addition to the residential units, the project will feature essential amenities, including 200 car parking slots and 680 motorcycle parking spaces. These parking facilities are designed to support the growing number of vehicles in the city, ensuring that residents have convenient access to secure parking.
The housing development is not only focused on providing shelter but also aims to enhance the quality of life for its residents. The site will include a village clubhouse, village market, and transport terminal. These features are intended to address the daily needs of the beneficiaries and create a self-sustaining community within the housing complex.
The city government’s proactive approach to the 4PH project reflects its commitment to improving the living conditions of Angeleños. Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. has long prioritized addressing housing issues, and the 4PH Program is another major initiative in line with his vision for a more inclusive and prosperous Angeles City.
With the groundbreaking ceremony fast approaching, the city officials are working diligently to ensure that the project progresses smoothly and meets the needs of its future residents. The 4PH housing project is poised to be a key milestone in the city’s development, providing affordable, safe, and well-equipped homes for many families.
