On January 21, 2025, Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. took the opportunity to personally administer the oath of office for the newly-elected officers of the Angeles City Barangay Secretary Association (ACBASA) at the Mayor’s Office. The ceremony marked an important milestone for the association as the new set of officers took their respective positions to serve the community.
The newly-sworn-in officers include President Loreto Reyes, Vice President for Internal Affairs Ramil Maneje, Vice President for External Affairs Camille Del Rosario, Secretary Mc Francis Diangson, Treasurer Brenda Ocop, and Auditor Ron Ryan Sugui. Additionally, the Board of Directors consists of Amante Cayanan, Marissa Palma, Irene Agapito, Mark Hernandez, Danilo Carbungco, Anna Costes, and Garry Tapnio.
During the event, Mayor Lazatin congratulated the newly-elected officers and expressed his confidence that their leadership will contribute positively to the association and the communities they represent. The Mayor highlighted the important role of Barangay Secretaries in facilitating communication and ensuring the smooth operation of barangay governance.
The ACBASA officers, in turn, pledged to work collaboratively to advance the interests of the city’s barangays and provide support for their fellow Barangay Secretaries. They expressed their commitment to upholding the values of transparency, accountability, and service as they embark on their respective duties.
The event was attended by key city officials, including members of the Barangay Secretaries, who showed their support for the new leadership. The Mayor, alongside the elected officers, underscored the importance of cooperation between the city government and local barangay leaders in ensuring the delivery of services and welfare for residents.
Mayor Lazatin also emphasized the need for continuous communication and collaboration between the city government and the association to ensure that local barangay concerns are properly addressed. He assured the officers that the city government is always ready to support their initiatives.
