On February 3, 2025, Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. officially distributed the shares of the Real Property Tax (RPT) for November 2024 to the city’s barangay captains during a ceremony held at the Mayor’s Office. The distribution aimed to ensure that local leaders receive their fair share of the tax revenues for the benefit of their respective communities.
The event was attended by several key city officials, including Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, ABC President Danilo Nacu, and ACDRRMO Chief Rudy Simeon. These leaders joined Mayor Lazatin in the distribution process, underscoring the collaborative nature of local governance in ensuring the proper allocation of resources.
Barangay captains from across Angeles City were present to receive their cheques, which are essential for funding various community programs and projects within their barangays. Among those in attendance were Captains Mauro Mallari of Agapito Del Rosario, Gerom Costales of Amsic, Augusto Flores of Anunas, and Joseph Ponce of Balibago, to name a few.
The distribution also included barangay treasurers from Cuayan and Cutcut, ensuring that the funds were properly allocated for use in the barangay’s development. Mayor Lazatin’s initiative highlights the importance of the RPT shares in supporting local governance and helping barangays address the needs of their constituents.
The RPT distribution provides critical financial support for various community projects, such as infrastructure improvements, health services, and educational programs. By allocating these funds directly to the barangays, the city government ensures that local leaders have the necessary resources to improve the lives of their residents.
