Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. spearheaded the distribution of essential basketball equipment to Barangay Sto. Cristo Council on November 21, 2024. The event aimed to support the barangay’s sports initiatives and encourage local youth to engage in recreational activities.
Among the items distributed were basketball shot clocks, boards, rings, and nets. These provisions will enhance the barangay’s sports facilities, providing an improved environment for training and community competitions.
The distribution was held in collaboration with Barangay Sto. Cristo Council, led by Punong Barangay Lourdes Manansala. Mayor Lazatin emphasized the importance of empowering local leaders to promote healthy and active lifestyles within their communities.
Joining Mayor Lazatin during the event was Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Rudy Simeon. His presence highlighted the city government’s collective efforts to support barangay-level initiatives.
