ANGELES CITY – On March 10, 2025, Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. personally distributed the Real Property Tax (RPT) shares for December 2024, January 2025, and the first-quarter tax credits to the city’s barangay captains at the Mayor’s Office. This initiative is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to ensure that barangays receive the necessary financial support for their local operations and development projects.
The distribution event was attended by various city officials, including Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, City Councilor Atty. Arvin Suller, ABC President Danilo Nacu, former Angeles City Public Cemetery Head Philip Samson, and Ron Pineda. These officials were present to support the barangay captains as they received their share of the RPT funds.
Among those present to receive the cheques were barangay captains from across the city, including Mauro Mallari from Agapito Del Rosario, Gerom Costales from Amsic, Augusto Flores from Anunas, Joseph Ponce from Balibago, Rafael Bondoc from Capaya, and many others. The event highlighted the city’s commitment to empowering its barangays and ensuring they have the financial resources to serve their communities effectively.
Each of the barangay captains received a portion of the RPT share, which will be used to fund local programs and initiatives in their respective areas. This support is crucial for the barangays, as it helps fund infrastructure projects, social services, and other community-building efforts that directly impact the residents of Angeles City.
Mayor Lazatin expressed his continued dedication to providing financial assistance to the barangays and emphasized the importance of working together to improve the quality of life for all city residents. He encouraged the barangay captains to use the funds wisely and to prioritize projects that will benefit their communities.
In addition to the barangay captains, the barangay treasurers of Cuayan and Cutcut were also present to receive their cheques. Their participation in the distribution further demonstrates the collaborative efforts between the city government and local barangay officials to ensure that all resources are managed and utilized effectively.
This distribution of RPT shares is just one example of the city’s commitment to supporting local governance and fostering sustainable development at the grassroots level. By providing financial assistance directly to the barangays, the city ensures that each area has the necessary resources to address the unique needs of its residents.
