On November 19, 2024, Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. had a productive and cordial meeting at his office with former ABC President Jojo Dimapilis and Barangay Pulung Maragul Captain Edgar Avillon. The visit also marked the introduction of the Senior Citizen officers from Barangay Pulung Maragul, who were presented to Mayor Lazatin as part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen community ties and promote the welfare of senior citizens in the city.
During the meeting, Mayor Lazatin was accompanied by his Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, City Councilor Atty. Arvin Suller, and former Angeles City Public Memorial Park and Crematorium Head Philip Samson. The presence of these key officials highlights the city’s commitment to improving local governance and collaborating with various sectors of the community for the betterment of Angeleños.
Dimapilis, who previously served as the President of the Association of Barangay Captains (ABC), and Avillon, the current Barangay Pulung Maragul Captain, took the opportunity to introduce their Senior Citizen officers to the Mayor. This gesture not only strengthens the relationship between local leaders but also underscores the importance of ensuring that senior citizens are given proper representation and support in their respective barangays.
Mayor Lazatin expressed his appreciation for the continued dedication of the barangay leaders in ensuring the welfare of their constituents, particularly the elderly.
