On January 21, 2025, Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. held a meeting with Angeles City Police Office (ACPO) City Director PCol. Joselito Villarosa and PLtCol. Aris Gonzales at the Mayor’s Office to discuss the city’s current safety and security situation. The discussion was attended by Mayor Lazatin’s trusted ally, Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Rudy Simeon.
During the meeting, Mayor Lazatin reiterated his administration’s commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all residents. He highlighted that the city has experienced a consistent decline in crime rates since he assumed office, and he expressed his desire to maintain this positive trend. The Mayor emphasized that ensuring the safety and well-being of the people of Angeles City remains a top priority.
The Mayor noted the importance of police visibility in maintaining peace and order, reinforcing the city’s crime prevention efforts. “This effort of ensuring police visibility throughout the city will double our guard in safety and security,” Mayor Lazatin said. He underscored the role of the police force in enhancing public trust and providing a sense of security among residents.
PCol. Villarosa and PLtCol. Gonzales assured the Mayor of their full support in continuing efforts to strengthen the police presence across the city. They discussed strategies to increase patrols and improve coordination with local communities to further reduce crime. The ACPO officials also shared updates on current law enforcement initiatives.
The Mayor expressed his confidence in the ACPO’s leadership and pledged the city government’s continued collaboration with the police force. Mayor Lazatin also reminded the officers of the significance of community engagement and the importance of building strong partnerships between law enforcement and local residents.
