On November 12, 2024, Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. spearheaded the distribution of new basketball equipment to Barangay Tabun. The donated items, including basketball shot clocks, boards, rings, and nets, are aimed at enhancing the community’s sports facilities and encouraging the youth to engage in basketball and other physical activities.
Accompanying Mayor Lazatin during the turnover was Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Officer Irish Bonus-Llego. The distribution event was held to support local sports programs, which are essential for fostering unity and discipline among the residents, particularly the younger generation.
Barangay Tabun, under the leadership of Punong Barangay Angel Cordero, received the much-needed equipment, which will be used to improve the barangay’s basketball court. The new shot clocks and other accessories are expected to elevate the quality of local games and tournaments, allowing residents to enjoy a better sports experience.
Kagawads Val Antonio, Elmer Yumul, Jesus David, Krista Bacuel, and SK Chairman Johnray Pamintuan also joined the mayor during the ceremony, showing their full support for the project.
