ANGELES CITY — On March 6, 2025, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel visited the newly renovated primary care facility in Barangay Pulung Maragul, following the completion of essential repairs and upgrades. The health center, once a sub-health center, now serves as a fully-equipped primary care facility as part of the city government’s ongoing efforts to improve public healthcare services.
Accompanying Manuel during the inspection were several key officials, including City Engineer’s Officer-in-Charge Helen Ayro, General Services Officer Evangeline Malonzo, Angeles City Tourism Officer Anneleen Sugui, and Economic Development and Investment Promotions Officer Irish Bonus-Llego. Together, they reviewed the improvements made to the health facility, which is expected to better serve the local community.
Transforming the Pulung Maragul health center into a primary care facility was one of the top health priorities for Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. The project aligns with the Mayor’s ongoing commitment to making healthcare more accessible to Angeleños. This facility is part of a broader strategy to provide better medical services across the city.
Mayor Lazatin has long emphasized the importance of health infrastructure in ensuring the well-being of citizens. His administration aims to create a city where every resident has access to quality healthcare, and the renovation of the Pulung Maragul facility is a step toward achieving that vision. The newly upgraded center is expected to significantly improve access to health services for residents of the barangay and surrounding areas.
The renovation project is a key element of Mayor Lazatin’s broader health initiative, which includes the upgrading of sub-health centers throughout the city. By enhancing the infrastructure of these facilities, the city government is ensuring that medical services are not only more accessible but also more efficient and comprehensive in addressing the needs of the community.
As part of his flagship programs, Mayor Lazatin is working to create a healthier city by equipping health centers with the necessary tools and infrastructure to support public health. This includes expanding the services provided at these facilities, such as consultations, treatments, and preventive care.
With the completion of this renovation, Pulung Maragul’s primary care facility is now better equipped to meet the medical needs of its residents. The city government is committed to ensuring that all Angeleños have access to the healthcare they need, and this project is just one example of how Mayor Lazatin is making that a reality.
