On December 12, 2024, the Mayor’s Office Conference Room was the venue for a warm reception for the officers of the Barangay Balibago Senior Citizens Association. On behalf of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel personally welcomed the senior citizens’ leaders. This visit allowed the association’s officers to engage with the city officials in a meaningful discussion.
Among the officials present during the meeting were City Councilor Marino Bañola, Barangay Balibago Kagawad Grace Urbano David, and Civil Security Unit Head Tom Pabalan. Their presence reinforced the importance of strengthening relationships between the local government and the senior citizens’ community, ensuring that the welfare of the elderly remains a priority.
Representing the Barangay Balibago Senior Citizens Association, President Alexander Nunez, Vice President Mario Medina, and Treasurer Horacio Quilala were present. The officers were eager to engage with the city officials, discussing ongoing and future programs that would benefit the senior citizens in the area.
The gathering reflected the city’s ongoing commitment to prioritize the needs and concerns of its senior citizens.
