On November 6, 2024, twenty-one candidates of Mutya Ning Angeles (MNA) 2024 participated in their closed-door preliminary interview at Systems Plus College Foundation. The event provided the contestants with the opportunity to showcase their answering abilities, personality, and communication skills, which will contribute 25% to their overall score for the coronation night on November 28, 2024, at the Grand Palazzo Royale.
The MNA Working Committee, which oversees the pageant’s operations, was present to observe the candidates’ performances. Among the committee members were Rommel Guina, Rosette Ramos-Biag, Marlon Tuazon, Frederick Policarpio, and City Tourism Officer-in-Charge Anneleen Antonio-Sugui. The committee is chaired by Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin’s Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, who play key roles in ensuring the success of the event.
Sharmaine Vianne Gonzales served as the official tabulator for the preliminary interview, recording and calculating the candidates’ scores based on specific criteria. The candidates’ performances will be evaluated on four main aspects: Personality (20%), Communication Skills (30%), Poise & Confidence (20%), and Overall Assessment (30%). The latter criterion includes factors like attendance, adherence to house rules, and overall performance throughout the process.
During the preliminary interview, the contestants were asked questions that tested their articulation, delivery, and relevance to current issues. These skills are essential for the candidates as they compete not only for the title but also for the opportunity to represent Angeles City in various events and projects throughout the year.
MNA 2024, a flagship program of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., is designed to promote the beauty, intelligence, and talent of young women in the city. The pageant is co-presented by Beautéderm Corporation, a major sponsor that contributes to the event’s overall success.
The coronation night for Mutya Ning Angeles 2024 is set to take place on November 28, 2024, at the Grand Palazzo Royale.
