This financial assistance is part of the government’s Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita (AKAP) Program, which aims to support farmers, fisherfolk, and their families who have been severely affected by the El Niño phenomenon.
The financial aid distribution was preceded by the turn-over of various agricultural equipment and other support services. These provisions were given to the governors of each province in Central Luzon, marking a significant effort by the government to bolster the agricultural sector during challenging times.
