Demonstrating its unwavering dedication to service and youth development, the Rotary Club of Clark Centennial has taken a significant step in supporting second chances for vulnerable youth by donating essential school supplies to the Regional Rehabilitation Center for the Youth (RRCY) Region III in Magalang, Pampanga.
This impactful initiative forms part of a collaborative project with Pangkat Ganakan, a student organization from the University of the Philippines – Extension Program in Pampanga (UPDEPP), which is currently spearheading a Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) project focused on assisting Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL).
Through this meaningful partnership, the Rotary Club’s contribution directly benefits 83 young boys who are currently undergoing rehabilitation at RRCY. Operated under the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the center provides a safe, structured environment where residents receive formal education, values formation, counseling, and essential life skills training as they work toward reintegration into society.
The school supplies donated will play a vital role in the children’s daily learning and overall personal development. More than just tools for education, these donations serve as symbols of hope and encouragement for children striving to turn their lives around.
The initiative also reflects the Rotary Club of Clark Centennial’s broader mission to promote education, peacebuilding, and sustainable community development. True to its motto, “Service Above Self,” the club continues to seek opportunities to serve the most vulnerable sectors of society and empower young lives through action, compassion, and collaboration.
By working alongside academic and civic organizations such as Pangkat Ganakan, the Rotary Club reinforces the power of partnership in making a real difference where it is needed most.
