On July 13, 2024, SM Supermalls VP for Corporate Marketing, Grace F. Magno, warmly welcomed Pampanga’s SuperMoms for an enriching wellness meetup at SM City Telabastagan. The event aimed to celebrate and support the incredible mothers of the community, providing them with valuable resources and a sense of camaraderie.
A significant highlight of the afternoon was a meaningful discussion centered around mental health wellness. This crucial topic resonated deeply with many of the attendees, emphasizing the importance of mental well-being in balancing the various demands of motherhood.
The event featured a panel of esteemed experts who shared their insights and advice on managing mental health effectively. Joan Mae Perez-Rifareal, Vice President of the Philippine Psychiatric Association, provided professional guidance on recognizing and addressing mental health issues. Dr. Grace Viola, Maternal Health and Family Planning Program Officer of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), contributed her extensive knowledge on maternal health. She discussed the intersection of physical and mental well-being, highlighting the need for comprehensive care for mothers.
